Whether a young professional or a student, renting your first property in Liverpool City Region can be a big deal. If you’re not sure where to start, keep reading!
The following are some of the most frequently asked questions that many first-time renters have:-
I need to find a place to rent, what should I do first?
Before starting to search for your new rental property, it’s a good idea to write down your budget. Working out what comes in and what goes out will give you a better idea of how much you have left to spend each month on rent. Do take into account that when you first move in you will need to pay a deposit, tenancy fees and your first month’s rent upfront.
I’ve found somewhere to rent in Newcastle, what now?
We have an exciting range of properties to rent in Liverpool City Region. Luxor properties can be found in Wavertree, Fairfield, Bootle, Kensington St Helens Town Centre & Across The Region.
Our dedicated staff can provide you with all the help and advice needed regarding reservation fees, administration costs, tenancy fees and the necessary declaration forms. Once this has been taken care of, you’ll be in a better position to rent a property with Luxor.
Why do I need to be referenced?
In a nutshell, you need to be referenced so you can afford to pay the rent. The landlord (which is us) also has to be sure that you will take good care of their property. If you fail referencing, Luxor Lettings will discuss the option of using a guarantor. A guarantor will agree to pay the rent on your behalf if you have any financial problems. Guarantors are also required to pay rent arrears and for any damage which might cost more than the deposit - if we take one or not they will also hold liability.
How will I pay the rent?
All Luxor tenants are required to pay their rent by monthly standing order. This is basically a written instruction from you to your bank stating how much, how often and how long a certain amount of money needs to be paid.
Are pets allowed in a rental property?
This is solely dependent on property in question - but in most cases we wont offer tis. You might be able to negotiate an individual arrangement directly with us before signing the tenancy agreement. Do bear in mind that allowing a pet into a rental property is often subject to extra rent, extra deposit or you may even have to sign a pet addendum.
Needless to say, there will probably be other questions you would like to be answered when renting your first property. We will be more than happy to answer any further queries you may have.
